A bit late, but last saturday (14th) when I saw mimi, she took some pics of me playing gtr with her camera because she wanted to incorporate me into her final A-level art piece, which I thought was really thoughtful! Here are the pics:
Today's been nice, super sunny and quite warm just like yesterday, but I just tried having a little songwriting session and I don't know I think I'm just a bit tired. I mean I finished one song which was good, but it's really janky and I'm not bothered about it, which isn't a position I like to be in with my songs.
I feel like recently I've kind of hit a record low with how much music I'm working on, since in the last month or so I've been SO focused on the more admin side of my whole music career. My output hasn't gone to zero, but I'm just in a weird place where I'm still making music, but not as consistently as I'm used to, which makes it hard to gain momentum and in turn makes it harder to write one good song after another, as I've found is the case normally when I dedicate a lot of time to writing.
But I'm not massively bothered, I know it's just a phase that'll pass. I really need to be doing all the other stuff I'm doing in place of making music so it's not like my time is being wasted. If anything, I've been wanting a bit of a break from constant creation so I can focus on other important things. You can't make something like 13 albums in 4 years and not make a ton of sacrifices in other areas of life!
So yeah. All good.
